The solar industry has now changed with the loss of the Feed-in Tariff and the introduction of the Smart Export Guarantee. This new scheme allows those with new systems to benefit from the sale of surplus generation.
We can install systems to pitched roofs, flat roofs and ground mounted schemes. There are two main options for pitched roofs; the integrated system and the on-roof system. The integrated system mounts the panels at the same level as the tiles, giving a minimum height above the tiles and clean lines all the way round. The on-roof system is more frequently seen as this is cheaper to install.
Bird proofing: We are now recommending bird proofing to all our customers based on the number of faults that we are being asked to fix as a result of birds, most predominately pigeons, and squirrels getting beneath the panels. Do contact us for a quotation for the fitting of a bird proofing kit before you lose your generation.
Above is a sample of our work. These photos show both the work in progress and the finished product. One picture shows some panels mounted on a roof before the roof was tiled, as is the case with integrated systems. We can fit to both tile and slate roofs with different brackets required for the type of roof.

Do you have problems with pigeons or squirrels under your panels? This can lead to damage to the cables and ultimately intermittent or failed generation. We use galvanised steel mesh with stainless steel fixings to provide a solution to outlive your roof.
